Sunday Soccer Program

Designed for players ages 3–14, our Sunday Soccer Program provides a fun, safe, positive, and development-focused environment where young players can learn, improve, and enjoy the game of soccer.

Our program welcomes players of all experience levels, from children who are picking up a soccer ball for the first time to experienced players looking for additional training. Through age-appropriate activities, technical exercises, fun challenges, and small-sided games, players will develop their skills while building confidence, teamwork, and a love for the game.

⚽ What Players Will Develop

Our Sunday sessions focus on a wide range of soccer and athletic skills, including:

  • Ball Control & First Touch – learning to control the ball with different surfaces of the foot

  • Dribbling – changing direction, changing speed, protecting the ball, and beating opponents

  • Passing & Receiving – developing accurate passing and receiving skills

  • Shooting & Finishing – learning proper shooting technique and how to finish scoring opportunities

  • 1v1 Skills – attacking and defending in individual situations

  • Coordination & Movement – improving balance, agility, speed, and overall body coordination

  • Decision Making – learning when to dribble, pass, shoot, or move into space

  • Teamwork & Communication – working with teammates and understanding basic team concepts

  • Game Awareness – learning how to find space, support teammates, and make better decisions during games

  • Small-Sided Games – applying technical skills in fun, game-like situations

👟 Age-Appropriate Development

Ages 3–5 | Introduction to Soccer
Players are introduced to soccer through fun games, movement activities, and simple ball exercises. The focus is on coordination, balance, basic ball familiarity, listening skills, and building confidence while having fun.

Ages 6–8 | Foundation & Skill Development
Players begin developing stronger technical foundations, including dribbling, passing, receiving, shooting, 1v1 moves, and coordination. Small-sided games help players learn how to use their skills in game situations.

Ages 9–11 | Technical & Game Development
Training becomes more focused on ball mastery, passing combinations, 1v1 attacking and defending, shooting, movement off the ball, decision-making, and game awareness. Players are encouraged to solve problems and make their own decisions on the field.

Ages 12–14 | Advanced Player Development
Older players work on technical consistency, speed of play, advanced 1v1 skills, combination play, tactical awareness, positioning, decision-making, and applying skills under pressure. Sessions include more realistic game situations and small-sided games.

🌟 A Program for Every Player

Whether your child is new to soccer, returning to the sport, playing recreationally, or already competing on a team, our Sunday Soccer Program provides an opportunity to get more touches on the ball and continue developing throughout the year.

Our goal is to help every player:

  • Build confidence and self-esteem

  • Improve technical soccer skills

  • Develop coordination, agility, and athletic ability

  • Learn how to work with teammates

  • Become more comfortable making decisions on the field

  • Stay active and healthy

  • Make new friends

  • Most importantly, have fun and develop a lifelong passion for soccer!

At New Athletic Soccer Club, we believe that players develop best when they are challenged, encouraged, and having fun. Our Sunday Program combines structured coaching with an enjoyable environment where every child can grow at their own pace.
